Welcome

Welcome to the website of Helsinki 2009, the 62nd International Session of the European Youth Parliament. In October 2009, the session gathered about 300 youngsters from all over Europe to Helsinki, Finland, to discuss European politics and live their European citizenship. The session was a great success, gathering widespread media coverage and interest from political institutions both on European and national level.

Creative Europe - Dynamic Europe

Under the theme "Creative Europe - Dynamic Europe" the session focused its attention on the need for fresh ideas and innovation on different fields of European policy. The Session also was one of the official events of the European Year of Innovation and Creativity. Who to better come up with bold new initiatives than our young citizens? Who to put them out if not the European Youth Parliament?
